What do I have to do to join?
Just register here. This will get your information over to us and subscribe you to our newsletter. In our first year, there is no cost to join our Roost, but this may change in the future. Join our Discord and be part of the conversation that shapes that.
Can you explain what the Nest, Refuge, Roost, No Laying Up, and Discord all are?
No Laying Up: NLU is a golf media company. You can read about them here.
Refuge: This is the message board for No Laying Up. It is free to join. The free version gets you limited access to the message board.
Nest: Is No Laying Up’s paid membership, which gives you full access to the Refuge as well as numerous other benefits.
Roost: This is a collection of regional clubs made of Nest members as well as being open to the public. We hold events including sending a four-person team to a Roost Regional as well as sending our “major tournament” champion to the NIT. In order to play in these national tournaments you do need to be a Nest member.
Discord: We have a Discord that can be used to discuss the management of this Roost, general discussions, and even fill random tee times. This is completely optional to join.
How do you qualify for the Roost Regional?
The top four in our standings after the first 5 events (using your three best event scores) will be invited to represent us at the Roost Regional. If one of the top four can’t attend we will move further down the rankings until we find someone that can attend. You must be a Nest member to win this.
How do you qualify for the NIT?
You can qualify for the NIT by playing in and winning “majors” from various NLU Roosts along with other specific NLU events. Our regional, held in September, is in conjunction with the PNW Crew and will have two NIT spots up for grabs. You must be a Nest member to win this.
Do you have merch?
We are currently working on that.
