Rules

Official rules of Mudders golf tour:

  • The tour committee is composed of – and limited to – those who host a tournament during the regular season.
  • An official USGA handicap index is required for event entry and to be eligible to win any prizes awarded. If you enter an event without an active handicap, you will play as a scratch golfer.
  • Each tournament’s host determines their event’s field, format (i.e. stroke play, scramble, stableford scoring, etc.), cost, prizes, and tie-breaker. Hosts are expected to verify handicaps.
  • Tournament hosts are forbidden to alter and/or add to the rules of golf as established by the USGA. The only exception being a local rule put in place by the golf course staff.
  • The formula for season-long standings is as follows:
    • 100% of points for best four events + 25% of points won in subsequent tournaments + 100% of points won in Major = Total points
  • In case of a tie, all points will be split among players. A tie-breaker may be used to determine the prizes awarded for that tournament.

Roost Regional Qualification:

  • After the first five events, the top four golfers in our standings (the top three scores will be counted) will be extended the invitation to represent us at the Roost Regional.
  • If one of the top four golfers can not attend, we will continue down the standings until a replacement can play.
